5.1.The benefit of New Listing API ↑ Back to Top
CedCommerce Amazon Channel has upgraded to a New Listing API, streamlining your product listing workflow like never before.
- Comprehensive Data Requirements: No more guesswork! The API provides clear and complete product schema specifications, ensuring your listings meet every Amazon requirement.
- Up-to-Date Product Types: Always be on top of the latest. The API automatically updates product type data requirements, eliminating the version mismatch issues unlike XMLs.
- Schema Uniformity: No more XML headaches! The API uses consistent, uniform schemas across all data requirements, making it easier for merchants to manage listings across multiple categories.
- Effortless Mapping: Forget manual data mapping. The API seamlessly translates flat files and XML attributes into Listing APIs and JSON_LISTINGS_FEEDS, saving you valuable time and effort.
- Large Catalog Management: Manage massive product catalogs with ease. The API removes upload constraints, allowing you to send full selections without worrying about file size limitations.
In short, The new listing API simplifies listing creation, reduces errors, and streamlines operations, allowing you to focus on what matters most: growing your business.
HOW IT WORKS:
Navigate to the ‘Listing Section’ from the left-side menu. Click on the icon under ‘Actions’ and select ‘Edit Product’ from the options provided.
Scroll to the ‘Amazon Category’ tab.
Note: Category and attributes of saved products and templates remain unchanged i.e. previous saved data will be displayed in the old UI format. For new products and templates new JSON UI will be displayed.
When you edit the saved category and attributes in products/templates, the following options will be displayed. If you create new products and templates, you will need to map attributes using this new JSON listing API.
Once you click on Amazon Category from the tab above, you will find ‘Set New Amazon Category’. Choose the most relevant category for your product.
Once you’re done, you must select ‘product type’ before you begin mapping attributes.
This helps you narrow down your product category more accurately and ensures you map attributes that are more relevant to your product’s category.
This also saves you time and effort compared to manually sorting through all possible attributes.
You can even select a ‘custom product type’ from the drop-down menu available below.
Once you have finalized your product type, a group of Attributes will be displayed such as Offer, Shipping, Product Identity, etc.
You will be able to map required and optional attributes, per the chosen ‘product type’.
Map the attributes for the product, such as Country of Origin, Brand name, etc., that are relevant as per ‘Product Type’.
You can even add optional attributes based on your requirements.
Once you have made all the changes, please select SAVE from the top right corner. Then you can proceed to upload the product to Amazon.
