Question 1: How do I connect a new Google Account?
Answer: If you want to connect a new Google Account, follow the following steps:
- Login to the CedCommerce Social Ads for Buy with Prime console.
- Once you’ve logged in, you will find a list of connected channels. Locate the “Google Ads Enhanced Conversion API” channel and click on “Go To Dashboard.”
- Go to Your Label menu.
- Click on “Change Account” to connect to the new account.
Question 2: Why does CedCommerce need permission to “see, edit, create and delete your Google Ads account and data”?
Answer: CedCommerce needs these permissions to access Google Ads account, get conversion actions, create conversion action and Enhance Conversion via API.
Question 3: What should I do, if I’m unable to see any options while selecting the conversion label?
Answer: If you don’t have any enabled purchase Conversion action in your Google Ads account, you will not be able to select an existing Google purchase conversion label. You have to click on the Create a new label for Buy with Prime button to auto select the Conversion label.
Question 4: What are the steps to add a new Conversion label?
Answer: As a merchant, if you want to add a Conversion label, you have to complete the following steps:
- Login to the CedCommerce console.
- Once you’ve logged in, you will find a list of connected Channels. In the “Google Ads Enhanced Conversion API” channel click on “Go To Dashboard”.
- Go to Your Label menu.
- Click on the “Create a new label for Buy with Prime” button to create a new purchase conversion. A new purchase conversion will be automatically selected.
Question 5: Where can I see if the Conversions are syncing properly?
Answer: You’ll need to log into your Google Ads account and follow these instructions:
- Go to your Google Ads account and click the Tools and Settings option.
- Click on Conversions in the Measurement menu.
- A table will appear; click the conversion action that you want to check.
- Select Diagnostics from the navigation menu at the top.
- If the Enhance Conversion status shows Recording enhanced conversions, then enhanced conversion recording is operating properly.
Question 6: How do I change the Conversion label?
Answer: Here are the steps to change the Conversion label:
- Login to the CedCommerce console.
- Once you’ve logged in, you will find a list of connected Channels. In the “Google Ads Enhanced Conversion API” channel click on “Go To Dashboard”.
- Now navigate to the Your Label menu.
- Here you can change the Conversion label or create a new label for Buy with Prime.
Question 7: How do I fix the “Token has been expired or revoked.” error?
Answer: Here are the steps to resolve the error:
- Login to the CedCommerce console.
- Once you’ve logged in, you will find a list of connected Channels. In the “Google Ads Enhanced Conversion API” channel click on “Go To Dashboard”.
- Now, navigate to the “Your Label” menu.
- Locate the “Connected Google Account“.
- Click on the “Change” button.
- Re-authenticate with the same connected Google account.
Question 8: What are the steps to resolve the “Customer data terms not accepted.” error?
Answer: Here are the steps to resolve the error:
- Sign in to your Google Ads Account.
- Navigate to the “Tools and Settings” menu by clicking on the wrench icon in the upper right corner of the interface.
- Under the “Measurement”, click on “Conversions”.
- In the left-hand menu, click on “Settings”.
- In the settings, locate the “Customer data terms”.
- Review the terms and conditions for customer data usage carefully to ensure you understand them.
- If you agree to the terms and conditions, click on the checkbox to indicate your acceptance.
- Once you have accepted the terms, click on the “Save” button to confirm your acceptance.
- Your account will be active in the next API call.
Question 9: What are the steps to resolve the error, “Make sure you specify an active conversion action that can be adjusted., at Conversion_adjustments[0].conversion_action”?
Answer: In order to resolve this error the merchant needs to either enable conversion action or select a new conversion label. Here are the steps:
1. Enable Conversion Action:
- Sign in to your Google Ads Account.
- Navigate to the “Tools and Settings” menu by clicking on the wrench icon in the upper right corner of the interface.
- Under the “Measurement”, click on “Conversions”.
- Click on “View all Conversion actions”.
- Make sure All filters are applied on the status column so that you can see removed conversion actions.
- Locate your conversion action, check the checkbox just before the conversion action name and click on the enable option to enable.
- Your account will be active in the next API call.
- Select a new Conversion Label:
- Login to the CedCommerce console.
- Once you’ve logged in, you will find a list of connected Channels. In the “Google Ads Enhanced Conversion API” channel, click on “Go To Dashboard”.
- Now navigate to the Your Label menu.
- Locate the “Select your conversion label“.
- Here, you can select the other existing enabled conversion label or create a new label for Buy with Prime.
Question 10: What are the steps to resolve the error message “The customer account can’t be accessed because it is not yet enabled or has been deactivated.”?
Answer: In order to resolve this error, the merchant needs to either re-activate the Google Ads account or select a new Google Ads account. Here are the steps to resolve this error:
1. Re-activate Google Ads account:
- Sign in to your Google Ads Account.
- Navigate to the “Tools and Settings” menu by clicking on the wrench icon in the upper right corner of the interface.
- Under “Setup”, click on “Preferences”.
- Click on “Reactive my account” to activate your Google Ads account.
- Or you can see a permanent banner to “Reactivate” your Google Ads Account.
- Select a new Google Ads account:
- Login to the CedCommerce console.
- Once you’ve logged in, you will find a list of connected Channels. In the “Google Ads Enhanced Conversion API” channel click on “Go To Dashboard”.
- Now navigate to the Your Label menu.
- Locate the “Google Ads Account“.
- Here, you will find an option to change your Google Ads Account (You will change the option when you have more than one Google Ads account).
Question 11: How to enable “Enhanced Conversion” for specific conversion actions in a Google Ads account?
Answer: Here are the steps to enable the Enhanced Conversion Google Ads account:
- Sign in to your Google Ads Account.
- Click on the wrench icon in the upper right corner to access the “Tools and Settings” menu.
- Under “Measurement,” select “Conversions.”
- In the left-hand menu, click on “Settings.”
- Look for “Enhanced conversions.”
- Tick the checkbox next to “Turn on enhanced conversions.”
- A dropdown list will appear, select “Google Ads API”.
- Click on save to complete the configuration.
- In the left-hand menu, click on “Summary”.
- Now, click on the conversion action for which you want to Enable the Enhanced Conversion.
- Click on “Edit Settings”.
- In Settings, locate the “Enhanced Conversions”.
- Check whether the checkbox is marked or not. If the checkbox is not marked, mark the checkbox.
- Click on “Save”.
Question 12: What are the steps to resolve the error message “ Can’t use enhanced conversions with the specified conversion action., at conversion_adjustments[0].conversion_action”?
